How To Find Your Wedding Dress

Okay ladies, it’s the moment we have been saving on our Pinterest accounts for the past 10 years – trying on wedding dresses. I seriously was so excited to find my dress that I passed BHLDN a couple days after getting engaged and went in by myself to try on 3 dresses. This was probably my favorite part of the entire wedding planning process and I was lucky enough to share this special moment with my mom, sister and close friends. So here is how I found my wedding dress and hopefully my experience will provide you with some insight for when you look for your dress for…

Our Engagement Photos

David and I fell in love with the Lake Michigan Coast while David was working at Whirlpool in St. Joseph, Michigan. Being honest here, how could you not? The water, the dunes, the woods, the wineries? It’s a midwestern dream. We spent many days swimming in the lake, hiking the trails along the dunes and having date nights at Round Barn Winery. So when it came time to shooting our engagement photos, we knew we had to take them at one of our favorite places in the world: St. Joe. Our photographer, Holly Labbe met us at Round Barn Winery a couple hours before sunset. Holly is so…

Piso Majado, Punta Cana

This year, our annual family Christmas vacation took place at Villa Tortaturga in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. It was absolutely stunning! The location was close to the airport, was in a gated community and included access to a golf course, restaurants and a private beach. The house included 24 hour staff, a pool, an outdoor bar, a gym and a movie theatre. It was honestly one of my favorite locations to date. Although the staff didn’t speak english, they were super accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. The chef created unreal dishes. We we’re served buffet style and chef ensured we…

How I Asked My Friends to be My Bridesmaids

After your fiancé asks you the biggest question of your life, it’s your turn to ask your closest friends to play a role in your day. I was so excited to ask all of my girls to be my bridesmaids. For me, it was really important I asked my sister to be my maid of honor and my friends who have always been by my side and supportive throughout all my journeys in life to be my bridesmaids. I’m not going to lie, I am so lucky to have a lot of wonderful friends and it was difficult for me to make decision of who would all be…

My Clean Beauty Makeup For My Wedding

As most of my friends and coworkers can tell you, I don’t really wear make up. It has taken me almost 5 years to get to a place where I have felt confident not to wear make up to work everyday. I have witnessed a significant difference in my skin and confidence in my body. Now occasionally, I will wear coverup under my eyes to hide my dark circles or mascara to give my lashes some color and volume but otherwise I like to keep things natural. As I approach my wedding, I have come to the understanding that I can’t looking my absolute best without some help….

Feeling Clean with Follain

I have been a huge advocate for Clean Beauty, especially in the past 5 years. Through my own experience, when I have used Clean Beauty products, I saw a huge difference in my skin and my health. No more cystic acne, less inflammation and allergic reactions. It has taken some time, but I have successfully switched over all of my beauty products and most of our cleaning products to clean products. So when I was approached on Instagram by Follain, I was excited to become one of their ambassadors. They believe no one should have to compromise when it comes to health and beauty products. All of the…

#DoingThings with Outdoor Voices

My Side Hustle with Team Outdoor Voices Living in the city can be crazy (and expensive). I work full-time at an Ad Agency downtown Monday through Friday. I also try to find time to go to the gym, spend time with friends and my fiance, grocery shop, meal prep, and somehow find time to do other little things for myself throughout the week. I like staying busy and being on the go, so what’s wrong with adding another task on top of it? This is where I found Outdoor Voices. Last summer, I found a part-time, brand ambassador – sales associate role with OV. As soon as I…

Three Days in San Francisco

This summer, David and I were lucky enough to plan a few trips around his convention schedule. When San Francisco was one of the options, we thought it would be a great reason to visit a new city. Now, I would never consider myself a fashion blogger, but if there is one piece of advice I can share when visiting San Francisco – wear comfortable tennis shoes. The entire city it one giant hill and you are constantly on an upward climb. Flying from Chicago to San Francisco was quick and easy. We found a one room AirBnb right by Little Italy in Telegraph Hill. It was the…

La Famiglia Italiana

Celebrating Nonna This October, my sister and I were lucky to visit our family and family friends in Italy. The trip was originally to celebrate the 100th birthday of Nonna Bice. Unfortunately, 2 weeks prior to our arrival, she passed away. We decided that we would take this time to celebrate her life and be with our Italian family. We arrived in Parma that afternoon and made our way straight to lunch. Our family lives in Langhriano, which is about 25 minutes outside of downtown Parma. They have their Prosciutto factory and a house next door where Andrea, Bianca, Chiara, Giulia and Luca live. After we were…

Our Family Christmas Vacation on the Island of Anguilla

It’s my favorite time of year again, Christmas with the family. This year, our three families visited the beautiful island of Anguilla. We were lucky to stay at the beautiful Ani Villas on the Northwestern part of the island. The flight from Detroit was very quick, when we landed we were taken through customs and it was about a 20 minute drive from the airport to the villa. I was so excited for a couple weeks of sunshine with my favorite people in the world. Welcome to Ani Villas When we arrived we were greeted by the entire staff, a band, and dishes of fresh fruit, cheese, and…
