Build Your Own Barry’s Bootcamp Workout

One of my favorite types of workouts lately is High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). Not only do I see the best results physically but it helps me relax emotionally. I don’t know how to explain it other than, it helps give me the ability to escape my own thoughts. Lately, I have been attending classes at Barry’s Bootcamp and I can’t even lie – I am obsessed.

I don’t know if it is the group atmosphere or the infrared lighting, but these classes are the bomb. My favorite circuit I have attended so far is leg day. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to make a variation of my own. So when I go to the gym on my own, I like to reserve a treadmill and layout my mat close by.

I have found it easier to build my own “Barry’s” class – cheaper too – by writing up a workout or relying on my BBG or Sarah’s Day Ebooks. The workout takes up about an hour and that includes stretching. The key is working in High Intensity Training (weight lifting or body weight movements) with cardio (treadmill, rower or Stair master). It’s a great workout to hit during your Folicular and Ovulatory phase of your cycle. So grab your water bottle, towel and be ready to sweat.

Here is my Almost Barry’s Bootcamp workout!

I love this! I’m a certified personal trainer who loves treadmill HIT training too. So much that I actually created an 8-week treadmill Bootcamp ebook for people to follow! It has 8 weeks of treadmill and floor workouts in the format that boutique studios like Barry’s offer. If you or anyone fellow Barry fans reading this post want to check it out, it’s called Faster Leaner Stronger.

Also, I totally get what you mean by the emotional release you feel doing HIIT 🙂
