One of my favorite things to do is workout. I know that sounds clichè, but I am being honest. I love sweating, pushing myself to the limit and releasing stress. When I am limited with time or constantly on the go, I like to focus on plyometric training.
Plyometrics are exercises in which muscles exert maximum force in short intervals of time, with the goal of increasing power. It is a great way to burn calories while increasing strength and stamina. These exercises are a great way to experience how incredible your body performs. They also do not require weights so they can be done anywhere & anytime.
If you are looking for more workout ideas, be sure to check out Kayla Itsines and Sarah’s Day. I have been on team Kalya ever since my sophomore year of college. Her workouts were challenging and got my butt into shape. With her 3-month program, I lost 20 pounds and gained a whole lot of muscle.
I am currently obsessed with Sarah’s Day, another Aussie fitness guru. She focused on maintaining a healthy, achievable lifestyle and I am currently participating in her 8-week challenge. Both of the workout enthusiasts focus on plyometric training. When I complete the workouts, I feel energized and ready to conquer the world.
Working out is about celebrating what your body can do, not punishing it for what you may have eaten an hour before the gym. Make sure you keep that in mind when you challenge your body to its full potential.
Here is my favorite full-body workout.
