Welcome to Toned and Traveled! As a girl from the Midwest, I love all things outdoors, Green and White and Bob Seger (Okay, Bruce Springsteen – but you get the point). When I’m not working, I enjoy trying new workouts, traveling, spending time with family, and making yummy smoothies. I enjoy practicing a healthy lifestyle and am constantly asked how I do it all. That is why I decided to create my own site, to share my thoughts on life and inspire a community of women to travel the world and live healthy lives.
I believe that living life to the fullest means being your true and authentic self. I have always had a strong interest in writing, blogging with websites such as Sorority Stylista and working with WhoWhatWear have allowed me to express myself and gain over 7 years of experience. That is why I decided to create Toned and Traveled: To show how a 20-something year old woman is trying to travel the world, stay healthy, maintain relationships, and be a #BossLady.
But enough about me, this site is for you! Even though I will be sharing my personal experiences, tips and advice on traveling, health, and wellness, I want to hear from you! Tell me what type of content you would like to read or see by commenting on my posts or if you have any requests or questions about anything, email me!
I am excited to start this journey with you! So read, explore, and be ready for an epic adventure.
Xo, Gaby

Hi hOMies! I wanted to further introduce myself and give you a deeper look into who I am as a person. I was born and raised in a small town in Michigan. I spent my summers at summer camps and winters hitting the northern ski slopes with my cousins. My parents always took pride in showing my sister and I that experiences meant more than material things – hence why we took several family road trips and vacations throughout my childhood and into adulthood. I fully believe my childhood experiences are why my love for adventure is strong.
Besides being world curious, I am a Rock’n’Roll enthusiast. The lyrics of Springsteen dance through my veins. Seriously, he signed my arm after a concert once and my mom and I got it tattooed the next day. Crazy, I know but hey – I was Born to Run. I Graduated from Michigan State University in Spring 2016, receiving my Bachelors in Advertising and Marketing and also my 200 Hour RYT Vinyasa certification.
Michigan State is where I also began my wellness journey. I became Vegan for a year and a half, until hormonal imbalances began to sneak in and mess with my everyday life. I started to focus on the foods I ate, natural medicinal herbs, Natropathy and Acupuncture. It was not until post-graduation that I found Cycle Syncing and was able to re-balance my lifestyle. I go into this deeper in multiple blog posts but finding Cycle Syncing helped not only my physical health, but my mental health as well. Wellness is a journey and I am happy to share my experience with you!
Growing up, I danced Ballet for 16 years and played soccer on and off. I was always Doing Things and believe that is why I enjoy moving my body today! If I am not doing a workout or yoga on my apartment balcony, I am out for a walk, hiking or attending one of my favorite exercise classes. I believe that movement is the best form of meditation and try to move at least once a day.
I currently live in Chicago with my Fiance, David. We met at Michigan State and have been together for almost 5 1/2 years! We are to be married in 2020 and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with my best friend. When I am not working, I am cooking up something in the kitchen, exploring Chicago with David, attending a workout class, planning a new adventure or hanging out with friends.
I am excited for you to get to know me better through my posts, social media and honestly, if you see me walking down the street – feel free to stop and say hi. 🙂
