When you hear Costa Rica, you think of plush rainforests, yoga retreats and delicious coffee. As a yogi, I was personally excited to experience the natural remedies and peacefulness of the country. As soon as we arrived, we were introduced to the care free, limitless, “Pura Vida” lifestyle.
We stayed in Manuel Antonio in a house up the hill from the main beach and right down the street from the Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio. It was absolutely beautiful. We saw sloths, ant eaters, monkeys and bugs. Every day we swam in the ocean and relaxed on the beach.
We worked out everyday and even tried zip lining through the forest. Our trip to Costa Rica was above any of my expectations. From deep sea fishing to dancing the night away to a live band. It was exquisite. But my favorite memory of all was watching the sunset with a glass of champagne.
The weather in Costa Rica is very humid and hot. Don’t even bring a curling iron or a straightener, your hair will frizz up instantly. The sun will be out every single day, unless you go during rain season.
If you are planning a trip to Costa Rica for the first time, Manuel Antonio is a perfect destination.
